Our key objective is to increase the level of safe cycling in Australia

We achieve this by

  • Lifting the profile of cycling as a great activity for everyone
  • Be a leading advocate for and source of information and advice on cycling. 
  • Gain increased Government investment for cycling. 
  • Make it easier for people to choose to cycle. 
  • Promote and encourage initatives which achieve measurable increases in cycling. 
  • Recognising, reward and encourage innovation and achievements and promote best practice 
  • Increase membership

Expert Advisory Committee

The Cycling Promotion Fund has established an Expert Advisory Committee to provide expert advice and act as a resource to the CPF committee and staff on developing policies and Government submissions, undertaking research and implementing strategies to achieve our vision.

Current Expert Advisory  Committee Members

  • Dr. Jan Garrard: Senior Lecturer,School of Health and Social Development, Deakin University, Consultant on Active Transport and Health Intervention Evaluations.
  • Professor Nicholas Low: Professor of Environmental Planning, Director of Australaisian Research Centre for the Governance and Management of Urban Transport.
  • Dr. Cameron Monroe: Transport Planner, Sinclair Knight Merz.
  • Associate Professor Chris Rissel: Director Health Promotion Service, Sydney South West Area Health Service, University of Sydney.
  • Alton Twine: A/ Executive Director, Planning Management & Regional Partnerships Integrated Transport Planning Division, Department of Transport and Main Roads. Australian Local Government Association (ALGA) Representative on the Australian Bicycle Council.

Cycling Promotion Fund Submissions

The Cycling Promotion Fund makes frequent submissions to all levels of government to promote cycling issues in Australia. These CPF submissions are free and are available by download from this site or by ordering a hard copy by contacting the Cycling Promotion Fund.
