LAST CHANCE TO RIDE IN THE TOUR DOWN UNDER
There are just five days left for riders to register for the 2009 Tour Down Under's recreational ride program, the Škoda Breakaway Series.
Premier Mike Rann today reminded cycling fans that registration for the two events - the Mutual Community Challenge Tour and the Mutual Community mini tour for kids - closes at 5pm on Friday 9 January.
"We have already seen a huge increase in the number of riders who have signed up to participate in the Skoda Breakaway Series," Premier Rann said.
"To date, 6,310 people have registered for the Mutual Community Challenge Tour, and more than 1500 of them are coming for the event from interstate and overseas.
"This compares to just over 3,400 riders who took part in the Challenge Tour in 2008.
