Message from the Mayor of Brisbane City Council:

We cannot just build our way out of traffic congestion. The solution lies in a balanced approach. Public and active transport is a key part of that balance. During the past few years, we’ve made significant progress with public transport, and to take advantage of our great outdoor lifestyle, we are increasing our focus on encouraging walking and cycling. 

With obesity levels at a record high in Australia, Council’s Active Transport initiative is one way we can help prevent a major health crisis for our community, as well as relieving traffic congestion on our roads
