Sustainable Transport Consultants is conducting the RTA training course "Designing for Bicycle Riders and Pedestrians" on 15-16 August 2007 at Citigate Sebel Hotel, 22-44 Albion Street, Surry Hills, Sydney. This two-day training course will provide planners, engineers and designers with the latest information, resources and techniques in pedestrian and cycling facilities design.
It will also assist you to comprehensively include walking and cycling in your ongoing work in the road transport field. Please refer to PDF flyer and a MSWord registration form containing full details of the course program.
This course pays special attention to the key issues and operating requirements for pedestrians and bicycle riders particularly when mixing with other modes. The course consists of a mixture of field work (on foot and by bike), tutorials and workshop exercises where you will work in teams to develop solutions to real life examples.
The course is suitable for Local Government officers and councillors, traffic and transport consultants, urban designers / lanmdscpae architects and NSW Government staff in the broad transport field. Feedback from participants who attended previous courses has been very positive. They found the course very useful.
The course will be conducted with a maximum of 20 participants. The cost for this course is $880.00 including GST. The course fee includes course manual, electronic resources CDROM, morning and afternoon teas, lunches and bicycle and helmet hire for both days. Upon completion, participants who meet the course requirements will be issued with a Certificate of Completion of Training.
