National Ride to School Day - Wednesday 12th March 2008

Looking for a low cost and easy way to get your kids more active? Walking or cycling to school enables your children to start the day by being active, helps them to get to know their neighbourhood and improves their road safety skills.

Walking and cycling with your child is a great way to spend time with them and build up their skills and confidence to enable them to become independent travellers. Children under 12 years of of age are allowed to walk and cycle on footpaths and so are adults who are walking and cycling with them.

Why not break the habit of driving to school on National Ride to School Day on Wednesday 12. March and find out yourself that cycling or walking to school can take the stress out of dropping kids off at school.  For more information on the Ride2School program

Not sure how to choose a bicycle for your child?

Remember to visit a local bicycle retailer; they can assist you in selecting a bicycle which fits your child, they assemble the bicycle for you and and they also provide after sales service which is important to ensure the bicycle is safe and is well maintained.
