Dreams on Wheels: Danish Cycling Culture for Urban Sustainability

To celebrate the official re-opening of the Royal Danish Embassy in Australia, the Embassy invites people of all ages to visit the exhibition Dreams on Wheels: Danish Cycling Culture for Urban Sustainability on show at the Showcase Gallery, Commonwealth Place, Canberra throughout the month of May.

Focusing on the bicycle as a sustainable mode of transport, the exhibition features examples of bicycle friendly urban planning through to the latest in innovative Danish bicycle design.

The exhibition is open Tuesday to Sunday (10am - 4pm) from Saturday 3 May through to Sunday 1 June 2008.  Admission is free.

The Dreams on Wheels program also includes:

  • An entertaining film program
  • An informative speakers program (5pm Wednesday and Thursdays from 14 to 29 May 2008) 
  • A fun-filled community day on Saturday 17 May 2008 (10am - 2pm). 
  • You can also take a free ride on an original Copenhagen Citybike, or just learn more about it.
