Australian Bicycle Council & Cycling Promotion Fund: Economic benefits of cycling (November 2011) |
|

In November 2011 the Australian Bicycle Council and Cycling Promotion Fund (CPF) published a snapshot of the Australian Cycling Economy.
Launched at the ‘Active Transport for Sustainable Cities Dinner’ in federal Parliament attended by MPs, Senators and senior staff in September, it illustrates how increasing the number of people cycling will help mitigate the costs of inactivity, congestion, pollution and emissions.
The CPF is pleased to be able to collaborate with the Australian Bicycle Council in providing all Australians with factual information in support of greater investment in bicycling and supporting one of the key actions of the National Cycling Strategy 2011 – 2016, which is public awareness campaigns on the benefits of cycling.
