The 10th Australian Bicycling Achievement Awards - One Week Left to Nominate |

There is one week left to nominate for the 10th Australian Bicycling Achievement Awards.
Nominations need to be submitted in the coming week to be a part of
these remarkable awards. With ten categories open allowing for a diverse
range of achievements to be recognised overall. Recognising the strong
support for these awards, the National Heart Foundation has continued its relationship as the principal sponsor for this year’s awards.
Spokesman for the Cycling Promotion Fund,
Stephen Hodge, explained “The National Awards continue to recognise the
many professionals, ordinary Australians and organisations who are
creating a healthier, more sustainable and bike‐friendly nation”.
The ten categories are made up of the following awards:
- Professional of the Year Award
- Volunteer of the Year Award
- Cycling Organisation Achievement Award
- Local Government Achievement Award
- Educational Institution Achievement Award
- Cycling Friendly Business Award
- Contribution by a Politician Award
- Bicycle Retailer Achievement Award
- National Media Achievement Award
- Special Initiative or Event to Promote Cycling Award

The
10th Australian Bicycling Achievement Awards for the Cycling Promotion
Fund will be celebrated on 21st March 2012 in Canberra with Award
winners, Members of Parliament and stakeholders from around the country
in attendance to celebrate, acknowledge and honour such great
achievements.
Application forms and entry must be lodged by the
closing date of 5pm, Wednesday 14th December 2011. Judging of the
finalists will be completed by the Selection Panel appointed by the
Cycling Promotion Fund. The decision of the Selection Panel will be
final. The Cycling Promotion Fund intends to use the information
provided to promote and inform about best practice and achievements in
increasing cycling in Australia.
