About Bike Hire

About Bike Hire is an innovative company providing bike hire to enable visitors, tourists and residents without bicycles to hire good quality bicycles to explore the wonderful bike paths and destinations in Perth on two wheels.

Bicycle Federation of Australia (BFA)

The Bicycle Federation of Australia is the peak user group for bicycle advocacy in Australia. It was formally established in 1990. Membership is primarily drawn from State peak user groups but also includes the potential for non-voting supporting members.

The BFA provides a range of policy guidelines which provide guidance which will assist in, and encourages the development of a consistent and coherent bicycle network of world class infrastructure and service utility which maximises the beneficial aspects of cycling to provide least cost -- most benefit outcomes when assessed from an integrated health, environmental, urban planning, equity and economic impact perspective. Bicycle NSW

BNSW is the peak body representing bicycle riders in NSW. The team at Bicycle NSW works to secure a better and safer riding environment for bicycle riders, organises events such as the very popular RTA Cycle Sydney Ride, RTA Big Ride.

BNSW also organises shorter rides, tailored to the differing needs of riders and provides advice and input into the development of cycling policies and strategies at the State and Local Level and publishes the popular Australian Cyclists Magazine. Bicycle South Australia

Bicycle SA is the state body representing bicycle riders in South Australia. Since their inception in 1982 they have been growing from strength to strength through advocacy, running a range of outstanding events, offering the most extensive rides program in Australia, bicycle education and development and partnerships with relevant stakeholders.

Brisbane City Council

Brisbane City Council is one of the leading councils in Australia in promoting and encouraging cycling. They were joint winners of the Bicycling Achievement for Local Government in 2003 for their commitment to build infrastructure, finding innovative solutions to reduce conflict between motorists and bicycle riders, promotion and encouragement of cycling as transport and recreation and the development of a bicycle pool for staff.

Brisbane saw the implementation of Australia's first bicycle racks in front of buses and the provision of bicycle maps to encourage more residents to utilise the facilities available. Brisbane has currently 520 kilometres of dedicated bikeways which are ideal for commuting or exploring the city. Mountain Bike Australia
