Riding a bicycle is a great way to meet people

You will be surprised how friendly people can be when you are riding a bicycle and not travelling enclosed in a metal and plastic box.

If riding by yourself, why not stop at a coffee shop where bicycle riders meet and most likely someone will want to talk to you.

If you want to meet other like minded people and join a group of people who ride regularly, go to the section people to ride with and you will be able to find BUGs and Clubs in your local area.

Many people not only participate, but also socialise when riding in organised bike rides and many also find new friends. Some people have gone on to have longterm relationships and even marry after first meeting during multi day organised bike rides!
