Looking for a low cost and easy way to get your kids more active? Walking or cycling to school enables your children to start the day by being active, helps them to get to know their neighbourhood and improves their road safety skills.
Walking and cycling with your child is a great way to spend time with them and build up their skills and confidence to enable them to become independent travellers. Children under 12 years of of age are allowed to walk and cycle on footpaths and so are adults who are walking and cycling with them. |

Rob Moodie's article (The Age 7/03/08) is a terrific take on this issue and should be essential reading to policy makers, journalists, radio hosts and decision makers. |
