The $40 million National Bike Paths Project Fund will see the roll-out of more than 170 cycling infrastructure projects around Australia.
Those projects will not only provide local employment but also will play an instrumental role in encouraging healthy lifestyles, by making it easier for people to cycle or walk in their local neighbourhood.
The CPF team has compiled lists of successful projects announced so far by state. |

in Yarra. It details actions and timelines for improvements to the on
and off road bicycle network and other infrastructure (including bike
parking facilities) so Council maximises bicycle use in Yarra. |

Ballarat City Council has secured a deal which will see the city host the Australian Open Road Cycling Championships for the next six years.
The new agreement is between Council, Cycling Australia and the event promoter Caribou Publications.
Under the agreement the Australian Open Road Cycling Championships will for the first time combine all three national road disciplines - the Time Trial, Road Race and the Criterium as part of the championship series. |

Australian Government Regional and Local Community Infrastructure (CIP) funding boosts cycling investment around Australia.
The federal Department of Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development and Local Government has recently announced the grants made under the Local and Community Infrastructure program and the CPF is pleased to note that 113 councils have made a commitment to allocate some of the funding received through the CIP program for cycling and shared path infrastructure. |
