NSW: Designing for Bicycle Riders and Pedestrians Course

Sustainable Transport Consultants is conducting the RTA training course "Designing for Bicycle Riders and Pedestrians" on 15-16 August 2007 at Citigate Sebel Hotel, 22-44 Albion Street, Surry Hills, Sydney. This two-day training course will provide planners, engineers and designers with the latest information, resources and techniques in pedestrian and cycling facilities design.

Bike Bus is a group of people who cycle to work in a group. It’s called a “bus” because there is a set route and timetable so it can pick up more “passengers” along the way. Cycling is a quick, fun way to get to work while keeping fit and healthy. A bike bus adds sociability and comfort. And it’s zero emission commuting, so you save 1.3 tonnes of greenhouse emissions per annum, for a 10km commute.

The Bicycle Show 2007

Exhibitions and Trade Fairs will be relaunching the Bicycle Show in 2007. The Bicycle Show is the industry’s premier annual exhibition, held alternately in Sydney and Melbourne. The revamped event returns to The Sydney Showgrounds and forms an integral part of the 2007 Festival of Cycling, the major community event which is held annually at Sydney Olympic Park.
